Brand Identity System

Making equipment rental feel dependable before the first call.

DFW Skid Steer Rental needed a brand that could communicate reliability and jobsite capability immediately while still feeling approachable to contractors, property owners, and local crews.
The challenge was to avoid the generic or overly aggressive visual language common in construction while creating an identity strong enough to work on equipment, trailers, signage, invoices, digital interfaces, and social media. The brand also needed to support fast customer decisions with clear communication and straightforward calls to action.

The identity was built around a high-contrast black, white, yellow, and steel-gray system inspired by equipment, safety markings, and jobsite structure.
A flexible logo suite was developed for horizontal, stacked, and compact applications, allowing the identity to scale from website headers and invoices to trailers, equipment decals, and small digital icons. Condensed typography adds jobsite authority, while a clean supporting typeface keeps rates, forms, specifications, and service details easy to scan.
Hazard-inspired tread bands, heavy rules, clipped corners, number blocks, and strong grid alignment create a visual language that feels rugged without becoming cluttered. The messaging system follows the same principle: clear, capable, helpful, and local, with direct calls to action centered on availability, reservations, scheduling, and contact.

The Approach

The Outcome

The finished system gives DFW Skid Steer Rental a consistent identity that can move confidently between digital, print, fleet, and jobsite environments.
Instead of relying on disconnected graphics or generic construction styling, the company now has a recognizable visual and verbal system for presenting equipment, offers, availability, service details, and calls to action. The result supports fast customer decision-making while reinforcing the qualities most important to a rental business: dependable equipment, clear terms, local responsiveness, and straightforward service.
